Our Govee installation services go beyond basic setup. Our installation process allows us to install Govee lighting through cold weather months. In addition to our unique installation procedures, we use custom brackets (included with each installation) to prevent adhesive issues and ensure lights stay secure.
Govee is an affordable choice for outdoor lighting, ideal for holidays, events, and everyday use. The app offers easy control and smooth color changes. Many clients later expand their lighting to the back of their homes.
We suggest customers fill out the form in the "get a quote" section so we can help them select the most suitable Govee product for their needs. Govee Pro and Govee Standard differ significantly; Govee Pro is recommended for roof lines with multiple peaks or multiple levels.

Standard Puck Lights

Govee lights are available on Amazon at affordable prices. However, not all versions are equal. Reading product descriptions carefully can help to avoid common confusion between the Standard and Pro versions. See our FAQ section for more information.
We install multiple lighting brands but recommend contacting us before purchasing any permanent home lighting system online for us to install. Some brands have limitations that impact installation and app control. Please research your options and reach out for advice to ensure you select the right product for your home.
Standard vs Pro.
Govee sells two versions of their permanent outdoor puck lights. They look similar in listings, but the install experience and long-term flexibility are very different. Know which one you're buying before it ships.
Standard
Fixed 16.5" spacing. Wire is molded through the run and cannot be spliced or cut.
Pro
19" spacing with fully spliceable, cuttable wiring for custom rooflines.

Continuous glow.
How your lights look at night comes down to standoff — how far the fixture sits from the house. Closer in gives a tight, defined line of light; further out throws a wider wash with a softer shadow. Our standard is 3–4 inches from the house, which balances a clean daytime look with an even glow at night.
Prefer strip lights instead? Govee RGBIC strips give a continuous line of color rather than individual pucks — ideal for eave undersides, pergolas, retaining walls, and modern-look accents.

If I already ordered my Govee lights, can you still install them?+
Many clients have already purchased their lighting solutions. Often, once they reach out to arrange installation, they discover that the products they purchased may not suit their specific requirements. For properties with multiple roof peaks or multiple roof lines, we recommend the Govee Pro option. To ensure we can help you efficiently and save you time and money, we suggest completing our get-a-quote form prior to purchasing.
Can you still install my Govee lights when it's so cold outside?+
Yes. We have developed an effective process and custom brackets to solve this common problem. Every installation includes our custom brackets that keep your lights secure in any weather.
I'm not able to order my lights online. Can I purchase them from you?+
Certainly! If you're interested in Govee brand lighting, we encourage you to contact us before making your purchase. We have hands-on experience installing various types of Govee lights and can help you choose the best option for your needs.
What is the spacing between each light?+
Govee Pro lights have 19-inch spacing, can be cut or spliced with Govee brand materials, and work well for peaked or uneven roof lines. The standard option has 16-inch spacing, but can't be cut or spliced, and is not recommended for complex roof lines.
I am not very good with technology. Will you help me figure out how to use the app?+
Yes! We're available to review the app with you after installation. It might seem complex initially, but you'll quickly learn to adjust the settings confidently.
How do I know what they will look like on my house?+
To install Govee and similar lights, your roof should have a 3-inch overhang. The wires will be visible during the day. The lights and custom brackets are available in black and white. For permanent, color-matched lighting, please see our Jellyfish Lighting option.
Is there a way to hide the wires if I have you install Govee lights for me?+
We are in the process of developing our own track system for Govee lights to conceal wires and improve aesthetics. Follow us on social media for updates.
Can you install Govee smart home extras with my existing lights?+
Govee offers a variety of smart home accessories that can be paired with your Govee outdoor string lights. While some are designed for indoor use, which we do not install, we are happy to review any outdoor accessories and help you get the most from your Govee smart lighting.
