Accessibility Statement

We want every neighbor in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan to be able to use our site and hire us with zero friction.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Accessibility matters to us at Hamilton Home Accents. We work on this website the same way we work on a house: keep improving it, fix what is not right, and make sure it works for the person actually using it. If something on this site gets in your way, tell us and we will make it right.

Our commitment (ADA and WCAG)

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we follow the Americans with Disabilities Act along with the accessibility laws in Ohio and Michigan. Those are the rules we hold ourselves to when we design, write, and test the site.

What we actually do

  • Clean HTML with proper landmarks and one <main> per page, so screen readers land in the right place.
  • A skip-to-content link at the top of every page and a visible focus ring when you tab through.
  • Alt text on photos that carry meaning, and labels on every form field.
  • Text and buttons that meet WCAG AA contrast so they stay readable in sunlight, on old monitors, and everywhere in between.
  • Responsive pages that hold up when you zoom, magnify, or use a screen reader or switch device.
  • We respect prefers-reduced-motion, so if your device is set to limit animation, ours calms down too.
  • We revisit accessibility every time we ship a new page or feature, not just once a year.

When you hire us

Accessibility is not only about the site. If you are reaching out about permanent lighting, holiday lighting, landscape lighting, or any of our maintenance work, we are glad to adjust how we communicate and schedule. A few things we already do:

  • Quotes and updates by phone, email, or text, whichever is easiest for you.
  • Large-print invoices or estimates whenever you ask.
  • Notes on the schedule for service animals, mobility equipment, or quiet hours at your home.

Where we still have work to do

A few pieces of the site come from outside tools (map embeds, video players, review widgets) and those do not always hit WCAG 2.1 AA out of the box. We push those vendors to improve, and we try to offer another way to get the same information. If one of them trips you up, let us know and we will get you what you need another way.

Tell us about a problem

If something on the site is not working for you, or you need information in a different format, reach out. We answer within two business days.

Formal complaints

We take this seriously. If we do not resolve your concern to your satisfaction, you can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the ADA.
